The Vibroacoustic Massage Therapy System

The Vibroacoustic Massage Therapy System is a state-of-the-art sound healing system using tactile vibration, auditory acoustics and massage therapy to activate a person’s parasympathetic nervous system. In doing so, one’s own innate healing systems are brought online and higher states of functioning are achieved. These states are systemic, effecting both mind and body in a powerful and positive manner.

The system is comprised of a massage table that has been outfitted with high-end, solid steel transducers, sometimes called Bass Shakers. The transducers transmit low audio vibrations into the table and, consequently, into the human body. A high end audio receiver drives the transducers while a second receiver drives the external speakers.

While any sound recording or music CD can be played in the system, only those that are specifically designed with psychoacoustic techniques and low frequency encoding will be most effective. It takes more than music that has a lot of bass in order to effectively activate one’s parasympathetic nervous system through full body, tactile vibration.
